During December 2018, Gensler Architecture appointed Tyko Sign Group to provide creative input and technical expertise to execute their neon-filled vision for the social media sensation’s new Los Angeles offices. With TikTok being a social platform that is at the cutting edge of creative video content amongst younger audiences, we knew this was an opportunity to really push the envelope.

Solution
After collaborating with the architecture firm, the desired outcome was to create the TikTok brand image in large-scale single stroke and double stroke neon signage on the ceilings. This required a very pointed approach to take our conventional neon skills to the next level to achieve the desired animation results. With the complex production and time sensitive nature, we assigned a team of six to manage this project. They were able to design and produce everything within a two-week timeframe, and our installers worked around the clock during the busy holiday season to make sure all signage was in place and inspected before Christmas.
Result
Not only was this project an immense success for our teams to pull off with an intense level of client coordination, but it also provided Tyko with a new offering for our neon sign products. It brought out the best in our design capabilities and craftsmanship and solidified our ability to deliver innovative signage solutions under pressure.
