Wally’s

Opportunity

In 2014, Wally’s, the neighborhood-favorite, boutique wine merchant was purchased by a joint partnership involving the Marciano family. The investment brought an infusion of capital to grow the local shop of fine wines into a high-end restaurant and tasting room. In keeping the familiar name, they were in need of a partner to help capture their new brand identity in the best light possible.

Solution

Wally’s leased and began construction to repurpose a 5,000 square-foot gallery in a on a prominent avenue in Beverly Hills. Tyko worked closely with the head design team and architect on both locations to conceptualize the look that would give the wine merchant the best visibility on a bustling corridor of luxurious boutiques. The architectural renderings called for an outdoor dining space spanning the length of the storefront glazing with the new Wally’s logo and tagline mounted on a steel canopy overhead. The entire structure was built, welded, and assembled by Tyko and finished with all-acrylic push-through letters.

Result

The final product looked elegant and clean, and marked the re-establishment of the Wally’s brand in the world of fine wines. Since then, Tyko has also worked with Wally’s on their Santa Monica location.
